Special Holiday Worship This Sunday ~
Ornament and Simple Gift Making, and the Beautiful Sounds of Alla Breve!
Please join us Sunday, December 3 for our special holiday tree decorating service. In this worship, we celebrate the value of simplicity during the holiday season by making simple gifts and ornaments you can take home for your loved ones. Let your creativity prove that it is the thought that most counts this winter—especially when the thought is “love.”
We also celebrate the season with the beautiful sounds of Alla Breve, a guitar and flute duo by Steven and Kristine Kirby, a husband and wife team. They will play Christmas, Winter Solstice, and Holiday music throughout the ornament-making service.
Steven Kirby is a cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music and holds a Masters in Jazz Composition from UMass Amherst. He is a professor at Berklee College of Music and is also on faculty at Salem State University, Wellesley College and Brandeis University.
Kristine Kirby graduated from the Eastman School of Music and has played with the Thayer Symphony Orchestra in central Massachusetts and performs for various musical theatres throughout the Metrowest region.
Alla Breve is currently working on their third CD release through Challenge Records. Their website may be viewed at www.allabreveduo.com.
All are welcome at UCMH ~ please join us and feel free to bring a friend to share our special holiday celebration!
