Sunday, September 9 ~ Water Communion Ingathering with Steelpan Drum Music

Jefferey Clayton -- PanNeubean Steel Drummer -- 2 (2)

Honor the waters that touch our lives: rivers, oceans, lakes, and tears of joy and sorrow. In this family worship service we will celebrate our coming together after the summer months. Bring water from a source that you visited this summer or find sacred and together we will create a meaningful water communion ceremony.

Our special musical guest is Jeffery Clayton with the joyful sounds of Caribbean steelpan drum music.  Jefferey is of Jamaican heritage and was raised in Wellfleet, MA.  He has a distinguished musical career including 21 years of service with the US Army Band and as a concert opener for Jimmy Buffet and Kenny Chesney.

Currently, Jefferey is a music teacher at Justice Resource Institute in Acton, MA, the musical director of his own PanNeubean steel band, and a freelance musician on both trumpet and steelpan.  Jefferey is a graduate of the New England Conservatory with a Master of Music Degree in Music Education.  Visit Jefferey’s website at

Takes place at UCMH Sanctuary with Rev. Alice Anacheka-Nasemann, Officiant, at 10:30am.

Please feel free to bring a guest ~ all are welcome at UCMH!
