This Sunday, UCMH welcomes special guest speaker, Jennie Mulqueen, who will present Ancient Gratitude.
Has giving thanks become a perfunctory ritual, a hollowed gesture? We celebrate a national Thanksgiving that has become a precursor to a season of unapologetic consumerism. As a people of faith, how can we consciously connect with authentic gratitude that might serve to fill spiritual emptiness with deep love and joy?
Jennie Mulqueen received her M.Div. from the School of Theology at Boston University in 2017. She is a song leader with a background in arts education and lives with her two children and cat in Milton, MA.
UCMH also welcomes special musical guests, Alla Breve, a guitar and flute duo by Steven and Kristine Kirby. They are a New England-based, husband and wife team whose partnership conveys a sense of harmony and rapport that comes with years of sharing both their lives and music. They offer a range of styles, from a sophisticated classical repertoire, to creative jazz standards and originals, and contemporary popular favorites. They also are recipients of the Wedding Wire Couples’ Choice Awards. Please visit www.allabreveduo.com to learn more about the duo’s beautiful music.
The service begins at 10:30am.
Please join us afterwards for coffee, refreshments, and fellowship in our worship cafe!
