Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!”

Dear Friends:

In response to the continued horrific conditions of the migrants detained at our southern borders, many protests and vigils are being held across the country. Our voices must be heard in order to create change and become the welcoming country we once were.

On Friday July 12th, 2019, Lights for Liberty: A Vigil to End Human Concentration Camps, will bring thousands of people to locations worldwide to protest the inhumane conditions faced by refugees.  Here in Hudson, we also want to support our fellow human beings with a candlelight vigil.

Join us in Hudson, at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, 80 Main Street, Hudson MA, as we come together as a town in support of detained families and children at the border.

The event will run from 8pm- 9:30pm on Friday July 12 on the church lawn.

Signs are welcome!
BUT — PLEASE — NO CAMPAIGN OR POLITICAL SIGNS ALLOWED.

From 8-9pm will be a gathering with music.
The candlelight vigil begins at 9pm. Candles with holders will be provided.

RSVP is required, as space is limited.
