This Sunday, UCMH welcomes Rev. Kalen Fristad in celebration of John Murray Day!
Rev. Kalen Fristad has been a United Methodist minister for more than 40 years, and is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Christian Fellowship.
Kalen traveled the country full time with his wife, Darlene, from 2003 to 2006, accepting invitations to speak at churches, countering the teaching that many people will suffer for eternity in hell and proclaiming instead the hopeful message of universalism. Following then, he served churches in Iowa half time, while spending half time on the road. He retired from the parish ministry in 2013 but continues to travel the country speaking on universalism. Over the years he has spoken at more than 200 UU churches.
Kalen has written a book on universalism, entitled DESTINED FOR SALVATION: God’s Promise to Save Everyone, along with a study book with the same title. His books, CD’s, and DVD’s will be available for purchase after the service.
Please join us for coffee, tea, refreshments, and fellowship following the service, as well.
Everyone is welcome to participate at UCMH ~ Sunday services begin at 10:30am.
PLEASE NOTE ~
UCMH is donating one-half of our offering plate every week through the end of September to assist Hurricane Dorian relief efforts in the Bahamas. All contributions are made through the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee’s Dorian Relief Fund.
