Explorations Service: “Commitment”
This Sunday join us online for our monthly Explorations service! We will begin and end worship together, with an opportunity in the middle for participants to choose an Exploration activity that best matches their learning style. Our theme for the month is Commitment.
Exploration in Discussion:
Commitment Sharing Circle ~
Cynthia will lead a discussion group focused around exploring what commitment means in our lives — what commitments have shaped us, our changing relationship with commitment over time, and the ways we consciously and unconsciously commit ourselves.
Exploration through Justice Art ~
What justice cause are you passionate about? Join Ruth Hanlon and create designs for bumper stickers, Zoom backgrounds, or profile pictures that proclaim your commitment to a cause. You will need your own art supplies — markers, paper, or any media you prefer to work with. You will also need a cell phone or camera to turn your artwork into an online image. We will provide a link to a site where you have the option of generating and purchasing a bumper sticker, or perhaps even turning your design into a t-shirt.
Exploration in Spiritual Practice:
Thanks a Thousand Campaign ~
A Spiritual Practice requires just that — practice. Join Rev. Alice and Carien VanGelder and make a commitment to the spiritual practice of expressing gratitude in our Thanks a Thousand Campaign. You choose the commitment — perhaps 5 thank you cards a day through the end of the month, perhaps a daily FB post, or phone calls to thank community workers. In this group we will explore the benefits of gratitude, learn tools for saying “thank you” with maximum impact, and brainstorm ways to participate in the campaign.
