Hudson, MA Women’s Red Tent Gatherings: Celebrating over 12 years of Sharing Our Stories and Creating Community!
Facebook eventinvite: https://fb.me/e/SCGtSnwg
The Red Tent movement, inspired by Anita Diamant’s fictional story “The Red Tent,” supports women in reclaiming the gifts of community as we gather together to co-create intimate, woman-centered, restorative, secular, confidential Safe Space. We practice and receive Deep Listening that we may be present with our Authentic Selves. There’s never an obligation to share: this time is for YOU! Just come to absorb the loving vibes of fabulous womanspace if you like.
One of the challenges we sometimes face is a feeling of aloneness or isolation. But in times like this we can often find we are parts of a larger whole.
As women, we are all so much more similar than we are different. With this understanding we can build our connections to other women now, as well as tracing our connections to the women in our past. March is Women’s History Month, so this seems an apt time to look at these connections.
If you look at the continents of the world they seem immeasurably far apart and separate, but they all used to be part of Pangea, a single body of land, that was once united. We, also, come from a whole that drifted, and today it can feel more and more difficult to stay connected, to see where we came from, to follow the golden thread of our own history and the history of those who loved us, back to the sources that cared about us and helped to make us who we are.
It is said that there are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give children. One of these is roots, the other is wings. Who in your life gave you roots and taught you who you were? And who gave you the wings you needed to become who you are now?
During our time together we will reflect on questions such as:
– How have you and your life been shaped by the women who loved you?
– Which women helped to shine a light on who you are and who you could become?
– What did women in your history, or in your family’s history, do that was truly remarkable?
– How do you see yourself sharing with those women who come after you?
Come, let’s gather together inside the Red Tent, in Safe Space, where we can be ourselves and Share Our Stories. This WomanSpace is created for adult women (Trans Sisters: this is your Tent, too!). You are invited!
**PLEASE NOTE: WE WILL BE LOCKING THE MEETING AFTER 20 MINUTES. THANK YOU!!! **
