Emily Lewis, Guest Harpist

Ms. Lewis is a sought after freelance musician who has performed with Ray Charles, Barry Manilow, Johnny Mathis, Yes, Judy Collins, and the Irish Tenors and more. She is one of the pioneers of performing and researching the effects of music in specific hospital settings, most notably Neonatal ICUs.

Ms. Lewis studied with renowned harpist Lucile Lawrence from age 7 through her degree in Performance from the School for the Arts at Boston University, and after. Ms. Lewis has been a first place winner of several competitions, and the only two time winner of the Elizabeth Herbert Hobin Harp Scholarship prize.

Past teaching posts have included Gordon College, Boston University, MIT, as well as top regional private academies  grades 9-12. Retired from academia, Ms. Lewis continues to teach private lessons in her home studio in Salem, MA.
