Earth Day - 2006
“The problem of accelerated climate change exemplifies what has gone awry in the modern human project of dominating and managing nature for strictly human purposes of security and enrichment. In its causes and consequences it displays many of the worst injustices that prevail in relationships between rich and poor in the modern world…” - The World Council of Churches
Thank you for your interest in the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson’s weekly service. Today’s recording was made on Sunday, April 23rd, 2006. This recording features a reading and thoughts on Earth Day, Protecting and Preserving by Diane DeFranzo. Our introductory music was the Native American song, “The Earth Is Our Mother.” Our intermediary music was, “In the Branches of the Forest,” by David Arkin and Waldemar Hille. Our closing music is, “Maybe,” the theme from, “The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams,” words by Thom Pace, performed by Alan Anacheka-Nasemann.
