Little Girl at UCMH

Thank You for Supporting Our
“Be the Love” Campaign!

Thanks to your generous support, UCMH reached its goal of raising $4800, all of which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the Unitarian Universalist Funding Panel to sponsor social justice programs and initiatives in the local community.

For more than 150 years, the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson has stood on the side of love by embracing values such as compassion and respect for others, joy, and positive, social engagement in the community.  Our church also hosts many spiritually enriching programs for all walks of life, backgrounds, and interests through our Spiritual Growth and Community Center in downtown Hudson.

The “Be the Love” Campaign is an initiative to expand these values, offering social justice programs to include community social action.  Our goal is to become a local center for community-based activism, hosting musicians, storytellers, and speakers related to social justice issues.  We also seek to sponsor yoga and meditation classes for adults and children to help build resilience in the community.

“The ‘Be the Love’ Campaign is a response to recent attacks on civil rights, health care, the environment, and freedom of religion in our country,” said Reverend Alice Anacheka-Nasemann of UCMH and Co-President of the Greater Marlborough-Hudson Interfaith Alliance.  “Our goal is to be a beacon of light in our community, building positive bridges and coalitions that strengthen our society through the support of social causes.  We encourage people to ‘Be the Love’ through their daily actions and activities.”

We are grateful for your contributions towards this cause.  Please feel free to share this post with others to help make this initiative and related activities a reality, and an enhanced community for all.
