Introducing Ballou
Introducing Ballou: a labradoodle puppy who is in the initial stages of training to be a service dog. After our children raised more than $600 to donate to NEADS, last spring members of our church voted on a name for a future service dog. Ballou was our top choice. Ballou is the name of one of our “houses” in our Unitarian Universalist School of Magic and Wizardry. The house of Ballou is named for early Universalist minister, Hosea Ballou, who preached that God is a loving God and would not condemn anyone to eternal damnation. The house of Ballou is represented by the virtue of love and kindness.
