Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson Website Policy


1 Website Policy
The Church Website shall provide information to the public about our Church.


1.1 Design
The Webmaster shall design and implement the website.


1.2 Responsibility for Content
The Executive Board retains ultimate responsibility for the website. It may remove any material it deems inappropriate. It may remove any Committee Pages that are out-of-date.


1.3 Church Pages and Content Editors


1.3.1 Home
The Newsletter Editor shall be the content editor of the Home Page.


1.3.2 Calendar
The Newsletter Editor shall be the content editor of the Calendar Page. The page shall provide information about events and meetings, at the church or elsewhere, of interest to members or the public.

1.3.3 Directions
The membership committee chair or the chair’s delegate shall be the content editor. The page will contain directions to the Church.


1.3.4 Our Minister
The Minister shall be the content editor of the “Our Minister” page. The page shall include biographical and contact information about the minister. It shall contain a photograph of the Minister.


1.3.5 Sunday Service Themes
The Newsletter Editor shall be the content editor of the Sunday Service Themes Page.


1.3.6 Sermons
The Minister shall be the content editor of the Sermons page.


1.3.7 Religious Education
The Religious Education Director and the Committee Chair or the Chair’s delegate shall be the content editors of the Religious Education Page. The page shall include biographical and contact information about the DRE. It shall contain a photograph of the DRE.


1.3.8 Music
The Music Director and the Committee Chair or the Chair’s delegate shall be the content editors of the Music Page. The page shall include biographical and contact information about the music director. It shall contain a photograph of the music director.


1.3.9 Committees
The Membership Committee Chair or the Chair’s delegate shall be the content editor. The page shall list and describe the Church’s committees.


1.3.10 Stewardship
The Treasurer shall be the content editor of the Stewardship page. The page will explain the financial operations of the Church and how members can contribute to sustaining our community.


1.3.11 Membership
The Membership Committee Chair or the Chair’s delegate shall be the content editor. The page shall be about becoming a member and being a responsible member.


1.3.12 Our Church

1.4 Committee Pages and Content Editors
Each committee may have a page. The Committee Chair or the Chair’s delegate shall be the content editor. Currently three committees have their own pages: Social Action; Welcoming Congregation; and Membership.


1.5 Responsibilities of Content Editors
The content editors shall prepare and upload timely and appropriate information to the Church’s website.
