CLASSES UNDERWAY
Religious education classes began on September 16. It’s great to see the classrooms filled with the bustling, creative energy of our children once again! A big thank you to the volunteers who have stepped forward to teach and assist in our religious education program. Our 3-6 year-old class will be guided by the teaching team of: Lauren, Jen, Wendy and Erica. Rachel will be an additional paid helper for this class. Our 7-12 year-olds will work with Barbara, Erik, Lauren and Jennifer, with Amanda as an additional paid helper. Kelli-Anne is back by popular demand as our nursery babysitter.
PLAYGROUP
I am in the initial phases of organizing a weekly playgroup that will meet at our church. Current plans are to meet in the parish hall where we will have ample space for active kids. Starting in October, there will be a sign-up sheet during coffee hour for interested families. If you would like to participate, please let me know what morning would be best for you. This playgroup will be open to the larger community – feel free to invite a friend!
HALLOWEEN STORY-TELLING
As we have for the past 3 years, we will offer spooky stories during Hudson’s downtown Trick or Treat event. This event will take place on Thursday, October 25 from 4:00-6:00 in the afternoon. Let me know if you are interested in volunteering at this fun event when upwards of 200 people troop through our building for stories. We’ll need decorators, greeters and ushers, and I’d be happy to share the storytelling stage with any aspiring storytellers.
FAMILY SPIRITUALITY PROGRAM
Stay tuned for more information about Evensong, a program that is geared towards deepening spiritual growth as a family. Timing on this is yet to be determined for this intergenerational offering, but feel free to contact me to express interest in participating or to learn more about this program.
Yours in Faith,
Rev. Alice
