Calendar of Programming for Children and Youth – 2016 to 2017
The Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson invites all of our children and youth to join together for meaningful worship and growth.  We want our children to personally experience our Unitarian Universalist faith and all the wonderful ideals that it embodies. In our Religious Education program, we will spend time together sharing worship and wonder, love and friendship, kindness and compassion, and enlightenment and growth. We do this with engaging programs for all kids together, small group time with peers of similar ages, justice and community service work, youth ministry special classes and events, and multigenerational worship.

On Sunday mornings that aren’t designated as multigenerational worship, we offer a very modified version of the Spirit Play program to meet the unique needs of our children and teens as we engage in a hybrid exploration of our U.U. Promises/Principles, our Ministerial Themes, and our U.U. Sources. Spirit Play introduces thoughtful and inspiring stories, encourages independent thinking through wondering questions, gives children activity choices for how to explore the theme more deeply during “work time”, and develops an underlying sense of the spiritual and the mystery of life. There will be intentional time during these programs for youth to meet in small groups of similar aged peers for deeper reflection and exploration. This program is especially designed to accommodate the multiple learning styles and preferences that children have.
***Teens should also see “Calendar for Youth Ministry Programming” for offerings beyond Sunday morning

* Children are welcome and encouraged to attend multigenerational services knowing that the community here lovingly accepts some noise and movement, but if at any time during the service, you feel your family is better served by having your children cared for, there will be childcare downstairs in the nursery.
