The First Covenant
Today’s recording features a reading by church president Johanna LaPlante, followed by Reverend Stephen Shick’s sermon, “The First Covenant.” Our musical selections today were “Lead Us From Untruth to Truth,” a Hindu Vedic Prayer, music by Betsy Jo Andebranndt, “As I Went Down in the Valley to Pray,” a spiritual, arranged by M.A. Shaw, Beth Heller soloist, and hymn 123, “Spirit of Life.” All music is performed by the UCMH choir and congregation under the direction of Marjorie Mitchell.
