Friday, December 14 ~ Second Friday Sessions with Award-winning Artist, Susan Cattaneo ~ 7pm

Second Fridays Sessions is pleased to present award-winning singer/songwriter, Susan Cattaneo.

Susan Cattaneo, one of Boston’s best songwriters, will perform her signature mix of folk, country, and rock-tinged Americana music at the Second Fridays Sessions open mic concert series at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson in Hudson, MA on Friday, December 14th.

Susan’s latest project, The Hammer and The Heart is a double album with an electric side and an acoustic side. The album charted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart. Her single “Work Hard Love Harder” was the #1 song on Folk Radio in August and the album was chosen as the top ten records of the year.

This year, Susan has been nominated for Best Americana Artist in the Boston Music Awards and won the 2018 CT Folk Festival.

Over the past three years, she was an Emerging Artist at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and a finalist or winner at some of the country’s most prestigious songwriting contests including: Kerrville’s New Folk Contest (2018 and 2015), the Wildflower Festival Songwriters Contest, the Philadelphia Songwriters Project, the International Acoustic Music Awards, the Independent Music Awards, the 5 Unsigned Only Song Contest, the USA Songwriting Competition, and the Mountain Stage New Song Contest.

In addition, Susan has been an Associate Professor of Songwriting at the Berklee College of Music for 20 years.

She has opened for or shared the stage with Bill Kirchen, Paula Cole, David Wilcox, Amy Grant, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Livingston Taylor, Melissa Ferrick and Mark Erelli.

Second Fridays Sessions takes place at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson (UCMH), located at 80 Main Street (Route 62) in downtown Hudson, MA.

There is a suggested donation of $5.00 that goes to UCMH.  A basket will be passed for the Featured Performer.

Doors open at 6:30pm and performances begin at 7pm.
