Sunday, February 10 ~ Valentine’s Service and Chocolate Extravaganza! ~ 10:30am

Triple Chocolate Mousse (2)

We continue February’s theme on Trust and this week we explore Enduring Love.

Join us at this special service as we celebrate Valentine’s Day with classical, Spanish guitar music and a chocolate extravaganza!

“Happily Ever After” is a compelling illusion we like to believe in.  Long-term relationships, both romantic and otherwise, can be deeply rich and rewarding, but they also take hard work.  This morning congregants will share their wisdom on building healthy relationships, weathering difficult times, and cultivating a sustaining love for the long-haul.

Following the service, all are welcome to UCMH’s Chocolate Extravaganza Celebration of Love.

The service and extravaganza also feature guest musician, David William Ross, who will perform romantic, Spanish guitar music.  His CDs will be available for purchase—a great gift for your Valentine!

David William Ross is a guitarist with unique musical sensibilities, trained in both classical and jazz. Performances throughout the United States and in Europe, David appears frequently in recital as a soloist, in chamber settings, and in jazz combos and has also premiered much of his own work in venues such as the Patterson Theatre in Baltimore and the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge.

David also instructs students in classical and jazz guitar as well as music theory, composition, ear-training, piano, and jazz.  He is the Assistant Director of Music and Head of Jazz Studies at the Putney School and serves on the faculty of the Vermont Jazz Center, the Concord Community Music School, and Elm City Music.  Additionally, David teaches at Keene State College and Fitchburg State University.
