BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS ONLINE SERVICE
The Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson (UCMH) is pleased to invite the community to their annual Blessing of the Animals service on Sunday, June 6 at 10:30am. The event takes place online so people and their beloved animal companions can participate from the comfort of their homes.
“Our animal companions are often cherished members of our families, bringing us deep love and connection as well as laughter and joy. This service will feature a blessing of the animals as we honor their importance in our lives,” said Rev. Alice Anacheka-Nasemann and host of the worship service.
For our planning purposes, it will be helpful to know in advance if you will “bring” an animal companion (or companions) to the service. Additionally, if your animal friend is camera shy or likely to be otherwise unavailable to join us, you are welcome to send a picture for a video slideshow. RSVP to participate or send pictures for inclusion in the video to Rev. Alice at revalice@ucmh.org by 10am on Saturday.
Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of faith, religion, or spiritual affiliation, including atheists.
We encourage people to light their own chalice or candle at home when we do our chalice lighting.
