The Unitarian Church of Marlborough & Hudson invites you into a time of spiritual reflection with our newly-created Summer Sunday Spirit Circles. We will gather in our courtyard to create safe, sacred space together so we may explore topics which apply to our daily living, and which contribute to individual exploration and personal spiritual discernment.
August’s theme: Resilience. We think of the image of a tree being able to bend with the wind, how resilience rests in our ability to lean and be flexible as we react to what is going on around us. Another kind of leaning is just as important: the practice of leaning on those next to us! Yes, bend with the wind we say, but also remember that no one makes it through the windstorms alone. It’s a reminder of our 7th principle, “Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part”: while resilience has a lot to do with what is inside us, it equally depends on what is between us.
Along with gentle rituals to set our space, our time together will be spent in a Sharing Circle format where we will reflect on thought-provoking questions around our journeys of Resilience. You are invited!
COVID Safety: we hope to be outdoors this day, therefore masks will be optional but we will still practice social distancing. If we need to move our gathering inside, we will also be masked. Please, if you’re not feeling well, do stay home! Many thanks for your kind consideration!
