No matter what spiritual path we walk, death is an inevitability we all face. Being prepared for our own passing is a great gift to those we leave behind. The first part of this workshop will deal with the practical issues around death, including wills, advanced directives, funeral rites, home burial, green burial, and other methods of interment. We will deal with what the law actual states and dispel many of the myths regarding burial and cremation. The second part of this workshop explores the “spiritual” aspects of death and dying, asking the big questions: What is the soul? What is deity? Death and meaning? And ultimately coming full circle back to this key question: How do I live a wakeful and honorable life?
