Please Join Our Citizens Uniting to Restore the Republic Panel Discussion,
Friday, October 27, 7-9pm

The Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson (UCMH) and the UU Mass Action Economic Equity In Politics Certified Working Group are pleased to host a special panel discussion, “Citizens Uniting to Restore the Republic” on Friday, October 27, from 7-9 p.m. in downtown Hudson.

Participants of this event will learn about local initiatives to combat the corrupting influence of money in politics and advance the ideal of “one person, one vote.”  Panelists will include presenters from American Promise, We The People MA, Represent Us:  Boston, and Voter Choice Massachusetts.

Additional co-sponsors of this event include the Concerned & Informed Voter Collaborative, Hudson Democratic Town Committee, Hudson Republican Town Committee, Sawyer Hill Resistance, and the Green Rainbow Party.

“We are thrilled to co-sponsor this important event at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson because it represents our collective ideal values of fairness, integrity, and true democracy for all.  We also recognize that until we remove the corruptions in our democratic system, we won’t be able to effectively address any of the critical issues of our day,” stated Rev. Alice Anacheka-Nasemann of UCMH.  “We are quite pleased to include wide-spread participation among leading advocacy groups and bi-partisan support, thus the name of our discussion, Citizens Uniting.  We truly are uniting across political parties for this common cause and initiative.”

Everyone is welcome to attend the presentation and discussion, regardless of faith, belief, or religious or political affiliation.

Citizens Uniting to Restore the Republic takes place at the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson, located at 80 Main Street, Hudson.  Plenty of free parking is available.

Please feel free to contact the church office by telephone at 978.562.9180, or email at administrator@ucmh.org with any questions regarding this event.
