New Yoga and Meditation Classes
with Mary Starr Green,
Certified Kripalu Instructor

Looking to enhance your health and well-being in 2018?

Come to the Unitarian Church of Marlborough and Hudson for new yoga and meditation classes, taught by Mary Starr Green, a Certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor!

Mary has shared mindful movement and wellness tools with people of all ages for many years.  In addition to leading classes throughout the MetroWest region, Mary regularly assists women’s wellness and creativity programs at Kripalu in Stockbridge.  Her teaching is supported by meditation and she is a qualified teacher of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction through the Center for Mindfulness in Shrewsbury.

Two classes will be held at UCMH on Wednesday nights—one for kids, followed by a class for adults/teens.  Classes begin Wednesday, February 21.
  
Kids Yoga (Ages 8-12) is offered from 6:30-7:15pm.  In this class, kids have fun while connecting with body and mind!  Through movement and yoga postures, students will be encouraged to express their creativity and individual expression while building awareness, flexibility, focus, and confidence.  Each class includes breath exercises, guided imagery, and relaxation.  Kids should bring their own yoga mat or beach towel.

Adult/Teen Yoga (Ages 13-Adult) is offered from 7:30-8:30pm.  This mindful approach to yoga includes centering breath work, gentle warm-ups, and postures to support strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence.  Each class ends with deep relaxation and guided meditation.  No experience or fancy clothing required.  Participants should bring their own yoga mat or beach towel, and wear comfy clothing that allows for movement.

Two multi-week sessions are available for both classes:

Session I takes place from February 21-March 28 and runs for 6 weeks

Session II takes place from April 4-May 30 and runs for 8 weeks. 
(No class on April 25.  Pro-rate also is available for kids who won’t be there for school vacation week.)

The yoga class rates are as follows:
Kids Yoga (45-minutes) is $8/class if you pre-register for a multi-week session ($48 for 6-week session, $64 for 8-week session).  Per class/drop-in rate is $10/week without pre-registration.  As an early-bird incentive, participants receive an additional $5 discount if they register and pay for a full, multi-week session on or by February 21.

Adult/Teen Yoga (60 minutes) is $12/class if you pre-register for a multi-week session. ($72 for 6-week session, $96 for 8-week session).  Per class/drop-in rate is $15/week without pre-registration.  Same early-bird incentive as above applies—participants receive an additional $5 discount if they register and pay for a full, multi-week session on or by February 21.
