Sunday, October 14 ~ Stories of Immigration and Arrival ~ Worship and Explorations Covenant Group

Lady Liberty 2009
How did you family come to be in the US? Were they seeking Refuge? Prosperity? Freedom? Do you have ancestors who were forcibly brought here as part of the slave trade? If you have indigenous roots, what’s the story of your ancestors’ migrations and displacements?
This Sunday we will explore and share our stories of immigration and arrival. During our worship service at 10:30am, members Elisa Abatsis, Barb Kostick, and Dan Stack will share their family stories of arrival.
Following the service, others will have the opportunity to share their own stories during our Explorations Covenant Group from 12:30-2:00.  Bring a bag lunch and join us!
The Explorations Covenant Group welcomes people with diverse beliefs—including pagans, atheists, agnostics, and theists—to discuss our monthly ministerial themes as they relate to our personal faith journeys. Together we will respond to thought-provoking questions with deep listening and honest sharing in a respectful, nonjudgmental community. Themes include Vision, Sanctuary, Memory, Mystery, and Possibility.
