This Sunday, UCMH welcomes special guest, Rev. Bev Waring, who presents “The Lessons of Palm Sunday.”
Palm Sunday, celebrated by Christians, commemorates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. Rather than focus on what in the bible is true, Unitarian Universalist often ask, “what can we learn from this story,” or “how is this relevant to me today?” During this service we will consider the idea of wholeness and ask what side of me would show up during that fateful journey. Would you be more like Jesus, the adoring crowd, the opposition or maybe the donkey? Join guest preacher Rev. Bev Waring as she explores the lessons of Palm Sunday and what those lessons may say about us today.
Rev. Bev Waring was ordained as a Unitarian Universalist minister in 2010. She has served congregations in Wayland, Glens Falls NY, Hopedale and Westborough. Prior to her call to ministry Bev had careers as a software engineer and a social worker. Rev Bev lives in Marlborough with her spouse Donna and their 3 small dogs. In her free time, Bev is either out geocaching or doing puzzles of all kinds – jigsaw, sudoku and crosswords being her favorites.
Youth activities also are available for children of all ages in UCMH’s Union Hall.
Please join us after the service for coffee, tea, refreshments, and fellowship in our Worship Cafe.
Everyone is welcome at UCMH!
