Sessions is a hybrid Open Mic, Songwriters Round Table, Invitational JAM. We welcome your Music, Spoken Word and other Art Performances. We also often feature a special musical guest artist at each event.

This October, UCMH welcomes Joel Cage, an award-winning veteran singer/songwriter from Boston. Once a member of the internationally-acclaimed rock & roll group, Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Joel has performed regionally and nationally as a soloist for the past two decades. He also performed at some of the most prestigious folk & acoustic venues & festivals in the country, including the Kerrville Folk Festival in Texas where he was awarded top prize in the Kerrville New Folk Competition. Sessions are held in the subterranean Union Hall and have access (as available) to a Yamaha grand piano in the Main Sanctuary, a 70’s Slingerland kit, and bass amplification for the “Power Trio” for high-quality sound reinforcement. A/V recording (you supply 4 or 8 gig SD card) is available.
