Sunday, November 3 ~ Multigenerational Explorations, Celebrating Gratitude ~ 10:30am

Yellow Fall Maple Tree

Please note:  Remember to “Fall Back” this weekend ~
The service begins at the new daylight savings time.

Our theme for the month of November is Gratitude.  This morning we will explore this theme in more depth using different learning modalities.

Exploration in Dialogue: Sharing Circles
Rev. Alice will lead a structured conversation on questions like: In your life right now, is the glass half full or half empty?  What are you especially grateful for today?  How do you cultivate an attitude of gratitude?  Located in the Knight Room, through the doors at the front of the Sanctuary and across the hall.

Creative Expression: Gratitude Cards
Join Kate Donahue in crafting your own thank-you cards to express gratitude to a loved one, a co-worker, a neighbor or simply someone in the community who has brightened your day.  Traditional card-making supplies will be available along with origami and kirigami (paper cutting). No artistic experience or ability necessary — just the desire to say “thank you.”  Located in the religious education classrooms. Go to the back of the Sanctuary and down the stairs to the first classroom on your right.

Musical Exploration: Gratitude Songs
Join Robin Jubenville for a musical exploration of Gratitude. Participants will be guided through a process of listening to Gratitude songs, singing a couple of hymns of praise, and then working as a group to compose a song. All ability and experience levels welcome — a love for music is the only requirement.

Spiritual Practice:  Gratitude Rituals and Altars
Cynthia Menard will lead a session around altar-building and ritual. The group will collectively work to build a gratitude altar, and will then have a ritual focused on gratitude and the newly created altar. Located in the Alice Hart Classroom. Go to the back of the Sanctuary and down the stairs to the 2nd door on your left.

Everyone is welcome ~ Please join us after the service for coffee, tea, refreshments, and fellowship!
