World Religions Class ~ Hinduism

Join Rev. Alice for a series of online classes introducing Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, and Islam. Each session will focus on  the basic stories, beliefs and practices of a given religion.  Classes will be followed by a virtual visit to worship and dialogue with our neighbors in faith. In between, participants will have the opportunity to deepen their learning with homework assignments including videos and readings.

Sign up in the church office: 978-562-9180 or administrator@ucmh.org

Please note: virtual visits are TBD and will vary based on the worship practices and schedules of our faith neighbors.

For our January class, we will explore Hinduism.  Rev. Alice is delighted to welcome her brother-in-law, David Nasemann, to our gathering who will introduce basic beliefs, theology, and practices in Hinduism.

David joined the International Society for Krishna Consciousness 45 years ago and has been a devout practitioner ever since. He was initiated into the chanting of the Hare Krisna Mantra by AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and took a second initiation as a brahmana priest in 1978. He has made 5 pilgrimages to India’s Holy sites, participated in a nine month Pada-yatra procession in India, and has had active involvement in temples in Massachusetts, Maryland, and Florida.

Join us on Wednesday, January 13 at 7pm to learn more about both Hinduism and the Hare Krishna movement.

All are welcome to participate!
