WOMEN’S WEB TENT ~
“FINDING EQUILIBRIUM”
The Red Tent movement is inspired by Anita Diamant’s fictional story, The Red Tent, and supports women in reclaiming the gifts of community as we gather together to co-create safe, woman-centered, restorative, inclusive community. Here in Hudson, MA, we have created and facilitated such a space more than a decade! And we are continuing this work online, during the coronavirus crisis, by creating that same Safe Space in which we enter times of sharing around a theme inspired by the hearts of our Red Tent sisters. This week’s theme is FINDING EQUILIBRIUM.
With the introduction of vaccinations and revised safety protocols, some populations in our global community are able to begin to unfold themselves, reinvented, from a year-long global pandemic; our love, support and prayers continue to be sent to those places across the globe where Covid19 is still raging. And, of course, we remain vigilant. All of us, now changed, will continue to dodge and weave, to adapt, grow, overcome, evolve on all levels, that we may touch upon the most desired: a state of equilibrium. Somewhere. Somehow. Equilibrium equals Balance. Calm. Peace. Health.
Where does YOUR equilibrium lie: is it in intellectual or emotional balance? Work/life? Time with family, time with friends, time in passion pursuits? Body, mind, spirit? Do you even have the luxury of contemplating these options or is it all you can do to simply hang on to decent health, finances, relationships?
Another perspective to consider: I myself am blessed with advantage, and yet, these coronavirus times have rocked my world in ways I never knew I needed.
“To dispose a soul to action, we must upset its equilibrium.” Eric Hoffer
– Have you begun to consider life in the post-pandemic “after times”, or do you dare not begin to set up hopes and expectations?
– How do we maintain equilibrium in our lives now — however you define Equilibrium for yourself — and set ourselves up to maintain this state as best we can even though the world, and its demands on us, continue to fluctuate?
– Does this time of enormous depletions and rebuilding of energies and uncertainty invigorate you, scare you, inspire you, overwhelm you?
Come, let’s gather together again inside the Red Tent, in Safe Space, where we can participate in Deep Listening, be ourselves, and Share Our Stories. You are invited!

I’d also like you to please bring a small item that speaks to you of the fabulosity that is Woman. It could be a goddess statue, a crystal, a lovely apple, anything you’re inspired to bring.
This Tent is created for adult women and mature female teens (reminder: Trans sisters, this is YOUR Tent, too!) Feel free to share this invite!!!
No admission will be collected for our WEB Tents. If you are inspired and able (we all recognize this can be a very financially trying time), donations to continue the work of the SGCC — including this Red Tent — would be gratefully received!
