“Walking. I am listening to a deeper way. Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me. Be still, they say. Watch and listen. You are the result of the love of thousands.”

Samhain Service of Remembrance

With Rev. Alice Anacheka-Nasemann

Samhain, translated from Old Irish as “Summer’s End,” is a pagan festival marking the end of harvest season. With life falling back in preparation for the winter, the Gaels believed that the border between this world and the other world became thin on Samhain. In this service we will honor the cycles of life and death and pay tribute to our loved ones who have died. You are invited to bring a photograph of a deceased loved one to add to our altar of memory.
