Why Are You You?
Led by Lindsay Caddle LaPointe of First Parish of Stow and Acton
A religious youth-empowerment program reveals how teen empowerment is nothing to mess with. When we find a sense of belonging at the most tender times in our lives, we thrive as adults. Join First Parish Church of Stow and Acton member Lindsay LaPointe as she offers an inside look at the process and themes that have emerged during her creation of the documentary Why Are You You? about the Young Religious Unitarian Universalists.

Meet our Guest Speaker:
Lindsay Caddle LaPointe grew up Unitarian Universalist and was an active participant of the Young Religious Unitarian Universalist’s program in the late 90s. Lindsay Caddle LaPointe embodies a beautiful blend of artistic expression and technological finesse. Her journey began with a passion for dance that led her to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance/Performance from Roger Williams University. Fueling her curiosity, she delved deeper into the fusion of dance and technology, earning a master’s degree from The Ohio State University’s Department of Dance.
Her collaboration with journalist, Naomi Kooker, earned the duo multiple awards for their documentary short, Making Mill Town. They now are combining with Lindsay’s lifelong collaborator, Dawn MacKechnie, for the WHY ARE YOU YOU? documentary where they are telling the story about youth empowerment from the perspective of the Young Religious Unitarian Universalist program.
