Claiming Our Space: Fat Liberation and Faith
While fat people can’t hide their bodies’ size, the truth is that fat people in our society are told to hide their fat as much as they can, whether that’s through not wearing stripes or through being quiet about their oppression and accepting the shame. But finally, some people are raising their voices and claiming their space. This service will explore the issue of fat liberation and how UU churches can join the fight.
