The Power of Our Ripple
With Guest Preacher Lisa Fagerstrom of First Parish of Stow and Acton
With so many challenges, struggles, and conflicts in our communities and our world, it can sometimes seem as if we are powerless to find and be a part of constructive solutions. This sermon will reflect on and consider ways to accept, embrace, and enact the “power of our ripple” to live into and live out our UU Principles in our daily lives, as we live into and effect change in ourselves, our communities, and our world.
Lisa Fagerstrom is currently the Associate Chaplain at Carleton-Willard Village. Previously, her career included work as the Practice Manager and in External Relations for VISIONS, Inc., a diversity, equity, and inclusion training and consulting organization; as Director of Christian Formation and Discipleship at Wesley United Methodist Church (UMC) in Worcester, MA; and, as Minister of Program and Administration at Harvard-Epworth UMC in Cambridge, MA.
Lisa has a passion for exploring and learning about different spiritual practices in her own journey and in partnership with other seekers. She brings this passion to her work for social justice, her work within church communities, and her worship leadership Since 2019, Lisa has been an active part of First Parish Church of Stow & Acton, and she is profoundly grateful for the welcome and spiritual home she has found within the UUA.
