Give Birth Again to the Dream

With Rev. Stephen Shick

The history of Mother’s Day is filled with inspiration and contradictions. In the mid-19th Century, Ann Jaris created “Mothers’ Work Clubs” to promote women’s health. After the Civil War, Julia Ward Howe advocated for a “Mother’s Day for Peace.” In worship this Sunday, we’ll explore the history of Mother’s Day and the lessons it carries to us today.
