The Affirmation of Flowers

With Rev. Patricia Hatch

About a hundred million years ago, something amazing happened. Plants began to reproduce through seeds. With the evolution of these angiosperms, our planet evolved a wide diversity of beautiful plants and flowers. In this Flower Communion service, we will hear the story of Norbert Čapek and the ceremony he created. Rev. Patricia will reflect on how we are like flowers and how our church community is like a beautiful bouquet.

Join us following the service for coffee and conversation in Union Hall!

There is a lot of grief to process as UCMH closes its doors and merges with the Stow/Acton congregation. Rev. Patricia will offer a listening circle — a safe, sacred space where participants take turns speaking their personal truths while others listen attentively — after coffee hour on June 7th for those who would like to participate.
